iOS 7 Beta 3 Release Date Coming July 8

The iOS 7 release date could be on July 8.

The third beta version of the software might be rolled out by Apple to its carrier partners on that Monday, according to a new report from BGR. Seeding registration is also expected to happen on the same day.

This would make the third beta release just two weeks after the second one. The first version launched just two weeks before that at the Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference. The company used a similar two-week interval between the first and second releases for iOS 6. However, Apple changed it to three week intervals for the third and fourth betas.

The new iOS 7 software has the ability to block screenshot interruptions and also features a new welcome screen.

This information was reported by MacRumors, who has been testing out iOS 7 beta 2. The site claims that the screenshot behavior has been altered and active touches are no longer canceled when users snap a screenshot.

This will create changes in apps such as Snapchat and Facebook Poke that rely on screenshots to notify users of unwanted behavior. When a user opens a photo in Snapchat a finger is required to touch the screen to hold the photo open while viewing it. Users that take a screenshot interrupt the picture viewing and the photo automatically closes. Snapchat uses this to detect unwanted screenshots. It basically notifies the sender of the photo that a snapshot has been saved.

iOS 7 will not have this same capability, according to MacRumors, as the viewing window will not be closed and no notification will be sent when a screenshot is captured. They will also no longer interrupt on screen touches and the photo will stay open as the app can no longer recognize screenshot action.
