iOS 8.1.1 Looks to Save Apple From Lingering Problems

Apple's mobile iOS 8 has been met with a rough launch with the operating system encountering numerous and persistent bugs. Reviewers have been dubbing the iOS 8 as the buggiest release Apple has ever done. Not to mention that the iOS 8 adoption rate has been a slow crawl since the operating system's release.

Over the past few weeks, software developers have been trying their best to fix the issues with each subsequent update but the problems only seem to get worse and more numerous than intended. So far, dev teams have only offered hot fixes for the bugs and glitches – until recently.

Apple has finally released the 8.1.1 update for the iOS 8, available on all compatible Apple devices. The Cupertino company mentions that, "This release includes bug fixes, increased stability and performance improvements for iPad 2 and iPhone 4S."

There's no absolute guarantee that the 8.1.1 update will be fixing the issues that has been plaguing the iOS 8 since its release but Apple is hoping that the update will indeed fix all problems associated with the mobile OS such as no cellular and Wi-Fi connectivity, buggy battery life, and Bluetooth connectivity problems.

Early signs are leading to positive responses from iOS 8 users though, as Apple has hoped, but it is still too early to tell completely.

"Well its early days yet to tell for sure and I don't want to tempt fate, but so far for me it seems way faster now on 8.1.1. Games are also now way more responsive and seem as they were on iOS 7 so far," one user, dtcb67 said on the Apple Support Community.

"I will see if the wifi remains stable and has the range issues later, but thought I'd post to let you guys know, for me at least so far it seems to be a big improvement," the user added.
