iPhone 5 Release Date: Photos Reveal 8GB iPhone 4S to be Featured at Apple Event?

Apple's "Let's Talk iPhone" media event will take place later today, and a new tip about the supposed low-cost iPhone 4S has been uncovered.

CNET reported via Brazilian tech site Gizmodo that photos of an iPhone, similar in structure to the iPhone 4, were taken at Foxconn factory in Brazil and leaked onto the Internet.

An inventory form details that the model number of the phone is N90A. It is noted that the model number of the original iPhone 4 is the N90.

In conjunction with previous reports by 9to5Mac that Apple's internal inventory systems have detailed an 8GB iPhone, which has been attributed with the model number N90A, commentators have determined that the N90A is the iPhone 4S.

They have determined that the small hard drive is conducive with a low-cost option for the iPhone.

A device with the model number N94 has also been uncovered.

Reports once considered that it was the iPhone 4S, but now commentators note that N94 could be the model number for the iPhone 5.

Apple is expected to unveil both the iPhone 5 and iPhone 4S at its media event on October 4.

Commentators have speculated that there would not be a need for a low-cost iPhone because the price of the iPhone 4 would be lowered to accommodate those who cannot afford the updated model.

However, the implementation of a 8GB phone makes the iPhone 4S more plausible than ever, as the base model of the iPhone 4 begins at 16GB.

Many suspect the low-cost model would be Apple's answer to a number of Android phones, which provide the highly coveted OS in less expensive hardware.

Sources expect that the iPhone 4S will have an updated dual-core processor and improved antenna.

9to5Mac details that the Apple inventory lists show that the N90A has undergone "major internal hardware upgrades."
