iPhone 6C release date rumors: To come out before Christmas?

Persistent talk continues on Apple's C series

The talk among Apple fans includes the discussion about a new, cheaper iPhone. It can be remembered that the iPhone 5c was released two years ago, and rumors are rife on Apple's next move. Online publications, such as Gotta Be Mobile and Macworld, say that the iPhone 6c may look like its predecessor, with the same 4-inch screen and polycarbonate outer shell. But the inside, they say, is what would count.

The C series of iPhone is known as Apple's answer to those looking for a budget smartphone. This line of iPhone may be smaller in size, but it attracted consumers with its different colors. Speculations on the new iPhone 6c include an upgrade with its Apple A8 processor and will be equipped with NFC and a Touch ID home button. This would allow the user to purchase through Apple Pay, a service launched by Apple wherein products can be bought without the use of a credit card. It is seen as a safer mode of payment because there is no need to share sensitive credit card information.

Another cause of debate among fans is its release date. With an upcoming September iPhone event, it can be expected that along with the announcement of iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus will come a confirmation of the release of iPhone 6c. Macworld cites a tweet of Evan Blass, known for his reliable leaks, in saying that all three new iPhones will be presented in the event.

As to when the iPhone 6c is expected to hit the stores, this is still up in the air. The general concensus among fans looks to be that if not next month, the iPhone 6c might come out in November, in time for Christmas. But until an official announcement comes from Apple, fans would just have to wait.
