iPhone 6s Users Complain About the 'Burning Hot' Home Button Issue

The Apple iPhone is easily recognizable among the current smartphones because of its Home button; however, the iconic button is now at the "hot seat" — literally.

Users are now complaining that the Home button is getting "too hot." According to Boy Genius Report, the increased heat dissipation on the iPhone 6s has been listed as one of the top 4 main problems of the handset. The other problem that the users complain is that the iPhone goes to black screen once the Home button gets too hot.

The Home button has been around on Apple devices ever since, when most companies have opted to remove physical buttons on their devices. Apple has even made it more responsive for the iPhone 6s, now that the Touch ID fingerprint sensors is now residing on it.

According to the International Business Times, many users posted their complaint on the Apple forums. Rogerisf, an iPhone 6s user, said that the phone shuts down randomly. "The home button gets very warm, unusually hot even, when trying to restart the phone after it shuts off. It takes a few tries before it turns back on and for the home button to cool off," he added. The user, who owned other iPhones in the past, said that he didn't experience this with any of his other devices.

Independent UK also reported another user is complaining that his new iPhone 6s' battery drains fast, and the Home button is too hot to touch.

There is no known fix yet for the "burning hot" Home button issue; however, some say that doing a reset temporarily fixes the problem. Most iPhone users, though, opted to return the smartphones, and asked for an exchange.

Apple has not yet commented on the issue, and iPhone 6s users are waiting for a permanent fix for the issue.
