iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus Rumors, Updates and Release Date: Pro Out, Dual-Camera Lenses In!
Rumors have run the mill about the new iPhone 7, which is set to launch on September 17. However, contrary to initial reports, it looks like devoted Apple watchers are only going to get two iterations of the Apple device this fall: the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus; meaning, there's no iPhone Pro for the time being.
There were supposed to be three phones for the launch; iPhone Pro was going to set itself apart from the two other phones, the standard iPhone 7 and the single-lens system iPhone 7 Plus, with its dual-camera lens system.
According to latest reports, however, it's the iPhone 7 Plus that's getting the camera hardware update; so, there might be no need for a third reengineered phone.

Why dual-camera lenses are great
Apple users who are also photography enthusiasts should definitely watch out for this camera upgrade. A dual-camera lens system means that there are essentially two cameras to take two different photos with different color or light settings. Then, they combine together to form a sharper, more vivid image.
Of course, it's not an Apple-pioneering technology. LG G5 has a 16-megapixel camera alongside an 8-megapixel wide-angle lens to take better landscape photos. The Huawei P9, on the other hand, has one colored and one monochrome camera combining together to form one solid image.
Basically, we're looking at better zoom features, optimum image stabilization, and a camera system able to work well under low-light conditions. This is definitely a surefire hit for potential upgraders; no doubt Apple hitched its wagon on the dual-lens train. The Live Photos feature on the iPhone 6 and 6s was great, but there isn't much utility there.
Other rumors afloat
Apart from the new iPhone Pro report, not much has changed from what we already know so far. It looks like the iPhone 7 is still losing its 3.5mm headphone jack in favor of Bluetooth technology. The design is likely to look the same as the iPhone 6 and 6s, although the iPhone 7 will offer two different screen sizes: a 4.7" and a 5.5" display.
Moreover, we're still getting that pressure-sensitive home button, which means less risk of your capacitive button breaking down.
With the slew of rumors still coming, it looks like the mill is still running around and keeping fans on their toes for the new iPhones. Sounds like great news for Apple, too!
