ISIS News: 'Chemical Weapons' Being Developed by Terrorists, Officials Say

As Parisians continue to grieve the lives of their people taken away by the Islamic State in a series of attacks last week, the terrorists are once again spreading terror as officials recently confirmed that chemical weapons may be used by the jihadists in other attacks.

Ever since the ISIS claimed large areas of Iraq and Syria last year, the authorities have not been able to track the activities going on inside many of the terror cells spread across the war-torn countries.

While the U.S.-led coalition continues to fight the terrorists and Kurdish Peshmerga forces have recently reclaimed Sinjar, it seems the extremists have only become stronger as Iraqi and U.S. intelligence officials confirmed that the most-gated terror group of this day is "aggressively pursuing the development of chemical weapons."

One senior Iraqi intelligence officer, who is very much knowledgeable about the chemical weapon program that the terrorists boast of, told The Associated Press that support has poured in for the ISIS to further strengthen its weaponry with the use of chemicals.

"They now have complete freedom to select locations for their labs and production sites and have a wide range of experts, both civilians and military, to aid them," he said.

On the other hand, U.S. intelligence officers clarified that with the lack of highly technological equipment inside ISIS labs and posts, it would be incapable of producing more advanced weapons such as nerve gas.

However, the support obtained by the Islamic State from various groups and skilled people who very well know the craft of chemical weaponry is still apparent. This is because the terrorists are known for using mustard gas for attacks, and while the weapon isn't lethal, the fact that they were able to come up with such has become a problem for the troops.

A general told the outlet that gas masks were provided for troops fighting in the west and northern areas of Baghdad, just in case the terrorists have created a higher and much stronger type of chemical weapon compared to mustard gas.
