Kourtney Kardashian and her partner Scott Disick have announced that they are expecting a baby girl, which will be the couple's second child.

"Kourtney was hoping for a girl. She loves having a boy but thinks having a girl would be perfect so she can dress her up and show her the ropes in life," a source told Life & Style magazine.

Kardashian, 32, and 28-year-old Disick have been in a committed relationship for five years and although they are already the proud parents of 1-year-old Mason, the reality star couple are anticipating the arrival of their unborn daughter.

"A girl would be a fantastic addition to our family," Disick once told the magazine.

The pair revealed that Kardashian was expecting in November, and the baby is reportedly due this summer although they are still said to be contemplating baby names.

The news comes just days after it was revealed that Kardashian's brother-in-law, NBA star Lamar Odom, admitted that he is jealous of the pregnancy.

In season two of E! reality TV show "Khloe & Lamar," Kardashian's sister Khloe asks Odom whether Kourtney's pregnancy news affected him.

"Were you jealous that Kourtney got pregnant again?" Khloe asks her husband in one clip.

"Yes, they get to have another baby and I don't," 32-year-old Odom responded.

On their reality show the married couple have been very open about their struggles to conceive, and although Odom has already fathered three children with a former girlfriend he is yet to have a biological child with 27-year-old Khloe.

As the Christian Post previously reported there was recent speculation that Khloe had begun fertility treatments in a bid to get pregnant after attempts to conceive naturally had failed.

Khloe dismissed the rumors, and insisted that she and her husband had left it in God's hands.

"I am not at this time in my life considering any type of fertility treatments. If and when I do, I will shout it from the rooftops but for now it's in God's hands," Kardashian posted on Twitter.

Despite her sister's conception struggles, Kourtney and Disick continue reeling in excitement about news of baby number two.

"Scott and I are so excited to announce that we are expecting our second child and are thrilled to be expanding the love in our family," Kourtney recently told Us Weekly magazine.
