'iZombie' Comic-Con Event News, Update: Season 2 Will Feature Blaine's Non-Zombie Side, Rose McIver to Play a Guitar?

The cast and crew of The CW's hit TV series "iZombie" were dropping some huge details for its upcoming second season at the show's panel in San Diego Comic-Con on Friday.

A report TV Line cited executive producer Rob Thomas giving some highlights as to what situation will the major characters be found when the zombie drama resumes on air.

"Everyone does hate Liv [Rose McIver] right now," the showrunner told TV Line. "Major is still not quite over the fact that Liv did not let him in on her zombie secret, Peyton is still on her walkabout around Europe and for reasons you all have probably seen, [Liv is] on the outs with any surviving family members she has. … It's going to be a depressing art film next year."

However, there would still be some exciting events come Season 2. As revealed, McIver will be taking on some interesting persona and one of which requires her to fiddle the guitar. The show boss went on to dish out a few more including a "grumpy old man brain," "frat boy brain" and a "Real Housewife of Seattle brain."

On the other hand, fans will finally get to see the "non-zombie" side of Blaine (David Anders).

"We're humanizing Blaine, quite literally," Anders said. "As an actor, your dream is to diversify your portfolio. When you can diversify within the same series, let alone within 14 episodes, that's kind of a dream."

Find out more when "iZombie" Season 2 premieres this Oct. 6 on The CW.
