'iZombie' Season 2 News, Update: Eddie Jemison Joins The Fray As New Villain

Just as The CW's hit zombie drama TV series "iZombie" enters its brand new second season, a recent casting update arrived to announce the coming of a new character.

Citing the report from Entertainment Weekly, it has been confirmed that actor Eddie Jemison will be joining the show to play the recurring role of Mr. Boss, Season 2's newest villain in town.

Referring to the "Ocean's Eleven" trilogy star and frequent collaborator to the show's executive producer Rob Thomas, it is learned that Mr. Boss will be a man "who runs Seattle."

The showrunner told EW that Jemison's alter-ego will be different from the other villains that will come out in Season 2.

"It's a very different flavor from Blaine and Vaughn Du Clark. With David Anders and Steven Weber, we've got such big scenery-chewing, delightfully big bad guys," Thomas was quoted as saying (via EW).

He added that with Mr. Boss, the show wanted to play a "mild-mannered, broodily efficient" kind of villain.

Thomas further shared some of the character's background information. He said that originally, the character served as an accountant for the mob. However, through his own "shrewdness and willingness" to get even more violent in ways that his employers could only have imagined, he has become as "the man in Seattle."

"You would think with that name, it would be a loud, showy character, but he plays an affable, and yet incredibly dangerous villain," the show boss teased (via EW).

The actor, who is also credited for his appearances in "Hung" and "Criminal Minds" will debut as Mr. Boss in an episode that is set to air in the middle of November.

For the meantime, "iZombie" season 2 just aired its premiere this week with an episode that saw Liv (Rose McIver) acting like an old man in "Grumpy Old Liv."

Catch the next episode titled "Zombie Bro" next Tuesday, October 13, on The CW.
