Jambox Speakers Perfect for iPhone 5?

Jambox speakers released to sync with iPhone 5 sales

Jawbone, the company known for its sleek Bluetooth pieces, has recently updated its Jambox portable speakers – just in time for the iPhone 5 and Android Ice Cream Sandwich releases planned for mid-October.

The website described the speakers as the “smallest, best sounding wireless speaker and speakerphone on the planet.”

The $200 wireless speakers connect to a smartphone or computer via Bluetooth. ABC News reported, the speakers pack a lot of punch for their small size.

It comes in four modern colors: grey, blue, black, or red.

The product’s promotional commercial advertises the Jambox with an output of 85 decibels, describing it as perfect for watching movies, listening to music, having a conference call or playing a videogame.

Customers can also perform all regular smartphone activities, while using Jambox, such as: making phone calls, sending emails, surfing the web or checking Facebook while streaming music.

The product’s website claims that Jambox is able to propel audible music for an entire party. However, critics disagree – arguing that it is more of a personal listening device.

The speakers underwent two updates this summer. LiveAudio was incorporated into the product, which increases volume and creates the effect of surround sound. Jawbone can also be synced with MyTalk, which allows for software upgrades and application downloading.

The company prides itself on using all the tricks to improve the sound of the speakers.

Fitting them into a single component minimizes residual vibrations due to excessive bass. Putting the battery compartment in the passive radiator also reduces weighed pressure on the speakers, producing a cleaner sound.

The top and bottom of the brick-like structure, which can easily fit in a purse, are made of rubber to prevent sliding on various surfaces.

The release of the new and improved Jambox proves timely for the influx of smartphone releases planned for mid-October.

Because the speakers work with any smartphone, sales will increase both with ardent Apple fans and competing Android users.

Jawbone’s website predicts many more installations revolving around the Jambox, therefore cementing it as a promising, long-term product to have.

No co-promotions between Jawbone and smartphone companies Apple or Motorola are currently planned.
