James Franco has submitted a casting notice requesting "Lindsay Lohan types" for a new movie about two celebrities, but said that the project will not be about the actress.

Moreover, the post on the online acting job board Actors Access included a request for "James Franco types ages 13, 21, 30, 45, and 60," according to E! News.

The unusual casting calls for Franco and Lohan characters had fans asking if the movie would be a biopic of the two actors, but Franco clarified his intentions at the Toronto Film Festival over the weekend.

"That's something I really didn't publicize," said the 34-year-old actor while promoting his new film "Spring Breakers" as the festival. "We just put out a casting call for a Lindsay Lohan and James Franco type. People just saw the casting call and picked that up and made up a lot of stories about it."

While he set the record straight that the upcoming film was not about himself or Lohan, Franco avoided explaining the real plot.

"It's really a project that's really under the radar for now," he said, according to E! News.

In the meantime, Franco is focusing on the upcoming release of "Spring Breakers," which also stars Selena Gomez and Vanessa Hudgens. He will appear in several other films as well, including the psychological thriller "The Letter" and biopic "Lovelace," in which he portrays Hugh Hefner.

The actor is also at the helm of "As I Lay Dying," a movie adaptation to William Faulkner's 1930 novel.

Alternately, Lindsay Lohan has been enjoying an acting comeback of late. She landed the starring role in a made-for-TV movie "Liz & Dick" and was cast alongside porn star James Deen in the film "The Canyons," which is currently being filmed. The 25-year-old actress will also appear in "Scary Movie 5."
