Jamie-Lynn Sigler has announced Tuesday that she and fiancé Cutter Dykstra are expecting their first child together.

The announcement arrives just weeks after the couple got engaged last month.

HBO's "The Sopranos" star shared the baby news via Twitter on Tuesday by retweeting a friend.

"I love uuu @JoAnnaLGarcia: Finally the world knows my bestie is having a baby! Love u @JamieLSigler and @CutterDykstra! #blessed #love," Sigler posted.

"Thank you to everyone for all the sweet messages," added the actress. "We are so excited to be able to share the news of this incredible blessing. : ) !!"

Sigler, 31, MLB star Dykstra announced their engagement on Jan. 28 after dating since 2010. It will be actress' second marriage. Sigler married her agent A.J. DiScala in 2003, but the pair split two years later.

"The pregnancy was a shock," a source close to Sigler and Dykstra revealed to Life & Style. "She just told the cast and crew [of her NBC show 'Guys with Kids']."

"Glee" star and friend of the couple Lea Michele took to Twitter with her reaction to the baby news.

"So excited for my dear friends @JamieLSigler and @cutterdykstra," wrote the actress. "There (sic) having a baby! Such amazing news : )"

Sigler is well known for her role on "The Sopranos" for which she earned two Screen Actors Guild Awards, as well as her role on "Entourage." The actress has also appeared on ABC's "Ugly Betty" and "How I Met Your Mother," and her current role on "Guys with Kids."

The actress joins a long list of other expectant mothers in Hollywood. Kristen Bell, Rachel Evan Wood, Jenna Dewan-Tatum, and Jessica Simpson are also pregnant.

Bell, 32, is expecting her first child with fiancé Dax Shepard. The actors had been dating since 2007 when they became engaged in January 2010.

A representative for the couple confirmed Bell's pregnancy in October.

"They're so excited, they're both ecstatic," said the celebrity rep, according to People magazine. "They can't wait to become parents."

Furthermore, a member of Britain's royal family, Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, is expecting her first child with Prince William in July.

Also due in July is "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star Kim Kardashian. The reality television star is expecting her first child with rapper Kanye West.
