Jani Lane Autopsy Inconclusive?

The autopsy performed on Jani Lane, the former lead singer of ‘80s glam band Warrant, proved inconclusive, said the Los Angeles County coroner’s office on Friday.

Ed Winter, Assistant Chief Coroner, said the cause of death will be determined pending the results of the toxicology tests. According to Winter, the process could take around two months to complete.

However, those that knew Lane believe that alcohol played a hand in the rocker’s demise.

Erik Turner, guitarist and co-founder of the band, told TMZ, “We will be making a tribute before we play the song ‘Heaven’ tonight.”

Turner adds, “We never thought that when the song ‘Heaven’ was written we would be playing it someday in the memory of Jani’s untimely death. This is a very sad day for rock and roll. One of the great things about music is that it lives on forever,” TMZ reported.
