Award-winning band Jars of Clay will be back on the road for a new tour this year.

The start of the tour will begin in Holland, Mich., on Jan. 12 and will end at New York City on Apr. 15. Jars of Clay will be joined for most of the tour with alternative Christian rock group NEEDTOBREATHE and eclectic group Burlap to Cashmere.

The tour comes after a very demanding fall circuit for Jars of Clay. However, a short break over the holidays seems to have rejuvenated the band for another go around.

In a recent statement to CMCentral, the band noted, “After a busy fall, the holiday break was a great chance for us to catch up, recharge, and gear up for what promises to be a very busy 2007!”

Jars of Clay has been a consistently popular band since their first, self-titled album, Jars of Clay, was released in 1995. They have gone through many tours, headlining most of them.

Their music style has changed drastically over the years, ranging from rock to pop to folk/acoustic, and their live shows resemble their transforming tastes. Fans can expect an exciting and creative live show.

The tour will run mostly in the far north, hitting most northern states as well as having several performances in Canada. Specific tour dates can be found at the band’s website, JarsofClay.com, as well as other bio and group news.
