Craig Gross, founder of XXXChurch.com, a website offering awareness and support to pornography addiction, is teaming up with spoken word poets Jefferson Bethke and Levi The Poet for the #PornKills tour, which will take place every night for one week in various West Coast cities.

Gross told The Christian Post on Wednesday that the three young Christian leaders would be visiting Seattle that night, and will then continue to make their way down the West Coast to Newberg, Ore., on Thursday; Galt, Calif., on Friday; and Lancaster, Calif., on Saturday, ultimately ending their tour Sunday night in Bakersfield, Calif.

One of the most eye-catching aspects of this brief tour will be the mode of transportation used by these three Christian men: a hearse. As Gross told CP, driving down the West Coast in a hearse with the message "porn kills" printed on the side of the vehicle serves as the perfect conversation starter for those battling a pornography addiction.

Each night of the tour will include spoken word poetry performed by Jefferson Bethke, known for his viral YouTube hit "Why I Hate Religion But Love Jesus," as well as poetry performed by Levi The Poet, and talks given by Gross.

Additionally, videos will be shown to those attending the conference, who will also have the opportunity to ask questions and discuss the issue of porn addiction.

"It will be a chance for people to just talk and ask questions that sometimes don't get brought into the light," Gross told CP on Wednesday.

"One thing I want people to know is they're not alone," Gross continued. "I think often there is this shame around the topic, and people think it's just them, their family, their marriage," he added.

"When you realize that there are other people battling this, other people overcoming this, I think there's some hope when you realize it's not just you," Gross concluded.

The topic of pornography has often been considered a taboo discussion in the Christian church, which is exactly one of the reasons Gross says he founded the XXXChurch website 11 years ago. Gross asserts that it is important to create a safe platform for people to discuss taboo topics such as pornography, as it offers perspective and hope to those struggling with addiction.

"The tour is real and honest, and it relates to people. This is what people want answers for," Gross said. "Any time there's controversy or criticism, I kind of think I might be in the right place. Jesus didn't play it safe, and if the rest of the world is talking about it, why shouldn't the church? I think we offer a perspective on [pornography addiction] and some hope. It's not just about shock value," Gross added.
