Jenna Stern Joining 'House of Cards' for Third Season

Fans of the hit Netflix original and political drama series, "House of Cards," have been hankering for some news about the show. Here's what we heard so far.

"Law & Order:" veteran Jenna Stern is now reported to enter Frank Underwood's (Kevin Spacey) world of shady politics and corruption "via a multi-episode arc" on the show, TVLine said in their exclusive report.

The 47-year-old actress has been famous for portraying seven different roles including SVU judge Elana Barth, in Dick Wolf's long running police procedural and legal drama TV show.

Already a staple in the show, Stern had been part of "Law & Order" ever since it premiered in 1999. She even starred in varying roles for its spin-off series like "Criminal Intent" and "Special Victims Unit."

Meanwhile, latest reports concerning HOC stated that the show is currently filming in Washington D.C. for some of its "higher government seat" scenes.

Furthermore, Breathecast reported that Maryland still remains the prime location for most of the production filming. It is here that the two previous seasons were shot.

The media outlet even cited reports indicating Kevin Spacey, along with other cast members, filming a scene at a certain cemetery in Maryland.

As for what the Season 3 would bring, it has been reported in the previous months that "House of Cards" will now tread more into the subject of foreign affairs, particularly with Russia.

Among its manifestations is the involvement of a popular feminist punk group called, P---- Riot, with members Nadezhda Tolokonnikova and Maria Alyokhina, who will be portraying themselves come Season 3.

As for the season premiere date, reports stated that it will come around February 2015.
