Jennifer Garner Dishes on Baby Names

Actress Jennifer Garner has opened up about choosing a name for the third child she is expecting with husband Ben Affleck.

Married since 2005, the actors already share two daughters: Violet, 6, and Seraphina, 3, and await the arrival of the new baby this spring.

Garner, 39, appeared on Wednesday's "The Tonight Show" explaining that her daughters have been offering suggestions for the baby's name.

"Our girls are working on names. At first they were definitely Disney," said the "Alias" star. "It was like, Donald Duck, Minnie Mouse Affleck, and then they've moved on. Then it was like Peter Pan, Captain Hook, Smee."

When their parents declined the names of their favorite characters, the Affleck kids chose a different route.

"They're coming up with lists, and coming in and saying, 'Let's have a baby-naming contest! Let's have a baby-naming poll!'" Garner continued. "They ask everyone, cause they just want to know [the sex of the baby] but we're not telling."

During Wednesday's show, Garner revealed to Jay Leno that she knows the sex of the baby, but that she is keeping it a secret. When asked if her husband wanted a son, Garner said she did not know.

"I would have thought so," said the actress of her husband wanting another male in the family. "At first I think I really thought so, then he kind of said, 'Well, we have girls. We know how to do girls. My girls love me. I'm the big guy in the house.' So, now I'm not sure."

When Garner and Affleck announced their third pregnancy, a source close to the couple told US Weekly that Garner had been hoping to add to their family.

"She's always wanted three kids," said the Insider. "This was her plan all along."

Garner, who also told Leno that she feels like she is "17 and a half months pregnant," is due in late February. The West Virginia native will appear in the upcoming comedy "Butter" alongside Hugh Jackman and Olivia Wilde.
