Jennifer Lawrence and Amy Schumer collaborating on a comedy screenplay

Jennifer Lawrence and Amy Schumer have teamed up to write a screenplay for a comedy movie which they will star in together.

"Silver Linings Playbook" Oscar winner Jennifer Lawrence and "Trainwreck" comedian Amy Schumer are writing a script together for a comedy film they will be starring in as sisters.

Lawrence, who was interviewed by a New York Times reporter about her last role as Katniss Everdeen in "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2," which will be out in theaters on November 20, also discussed her team-up with Schumer in a comedic screenplay.

The script, which is 100 pages in, is nearing its completion phase after Lawrence admitted it "just flowed out of us."

The pair met each other only a few months ago after Lawrence sent Schumer a glowing email after seeing Schumer's critically acclaimed box office hit, "Trainwreck," which Schumer also wrote, starting a back-and-forth communication between the two.

"Amy and I were creatively made for each other. We have different flavors. It's been the most fun experience of my life," Lawrence told the New York Times.

According to Vanity Fair, this month, Schumer invited Lawrence to go on a trip she takes with her high-school friends each year, and their photos of their vacation went viral online.

According to Schumer, informing her pals the Oscar winner would be joining them elicited an ecstatic screaming response.

Lawrence will soon be flying out to Chicago to see Schumer where they will continue to work on their script with the help of Schumer's sister, Kim, who also collaborated on the "Trainwreck's" screenplay.

Lawrence will soon be seen on the big screen in November 10 for the final "Hunger Games" film, this Christmas in David O. Russell's biographical dramedy, "Joy," and on May 27, 2016 in her last portrayal of Raven Darkholme/Mystique on "X-Men Apocalypse."

Her comedy movie with Schumer has yet to be announced.
