Jennifer Lopez is expected to open up about her relationship with Casper Smart and her divorce from Marc Anthony in an upcoming episode of the "Katie" show.
The former "American Idol" judge will appear on renowned journalist Katie Couric's debut talk show "Katie" on Friday. Smart, 25, will also appear on the highly anticipated show.
"You never want to break up a family, I'm just trying to get it right," Lopez told Couric when asked about her widely publicized divorce from Anthony.
Lopez, 42, separated from Anthony, 43, in 2011 after seven years of marriage. Although their divorce is yet to be finalized, the Latin singer has since moved on with Smart, who is 18 years her junior.
The pair, who began dating in 2011, received widespread criticism regarding the age difference, which Smart once took it upon himself to directly address.
"Age, status, n opinions of others are irrelevant. Our hearts are endless and our souls infinite...To be continued," Casper tweeted.
"Our ages are mere reminders of the hours logged on this earth and the precious time remaining...To be continued," he wrote.
"We should all honor our time here by indulging our passion and dreams. So, close your ears and open your hearts; Love and be happy!" he later added.
Lopez is asked about the age gap, which she explained to Couric: "the whole numbers thing is hard for me to get my mind around."
In one segment Couric asks Lopez whether she believes in "happily ever after" despite her divorce from Anthony and an enthusiastic Lopez responds by saying "I do still!"
During another segment of Couric's pre-taped show, Smart, who is Lopez's backup dancer, is seen teaching the talk show host how to dance as his girlfriend watches on.
Couric describes Lopez as being "stunning, revealing and intimate," throughout the interview and says that the mother of two gave "honest, captivating and surprising" answers to her questions.
