Jeremy Camp Releases 'Carried Me' Feb.10

“Revive Me”, a song that Jeremy Camp sang to his dying wife by her hospital bedside will be one of the many highly anticipated songs on his Feb.10th release, Carried Me: The Worship Project.

Camp sings of his up and downs in his life in his new album, reflecting in part the affect Melissa Camp had on him when she died of ovarian cancer on Feb. 5, 2001.

“The songs are ones that have meant so much to me in my life,” comments Camp. “Each of them has a special place in my heart because I remember singing them at different times, good times and hard times,“ Camp explains, referring to original songs “Longing Heart” and “Trust In You”, also on the album.

The demand of fans for Camp to share his favorite part of his live show worship has led him to make Carried Me. Even though his musical style offers diversity, as listeners would agree from his debut release Stay, Camp says the affect music can have on people depends on the song’s sincerity in praising God.

“If you’re really, truly worshipping God and they see your heart and they know your life, then people can respond to a heavy song because they can see it’s the passion behind the song that matters, continues Camp. “If it glorifies God, people are going to pick that up, no matter the style.”

Camp will continue to revive many with his music as he prepares for his new album, which is to be released in the fall of 2004 under BEC Recordings.

“Jeremy Camp has been an inspiration to thousands and is he to me as well,” stated Brandon Ebel, President of BEC Recordings. “We feel blessed to be working with a godly artist who has such a high level of integrity. Carried Me is the perfect companion record to Stay, and will tide people over for the amazing new album he will put out in the fall of 2004.”

On, Dec.15, Camp married Adrienne Liesching, former singer of band Benjamin Gate, who is also featured on Carried Me.

Beginning February, Camp heads on “Adoration: The Tour”, headlined by Newsboys and Rebecca St. James and will play at festivals during the summer.
