Jeremy Lin News, Rumors 2015: What Do His Coach, Teammates Say About 'Linsanity' This Season?

Ever since Jeremy Lin donned purple and gold, a lot of LA fans have branded him as Kobe Bryant's sidekick in the 2014-15 season. Reports even claimed that Lin could turn things around for his career and become one of the future pillars of this Lakers squad.

How swiftly time flies! Only several months after getting all hyped up to finally land on the team of his dreams, Lin once again faces a shaky future in the NBA. To make things worse, his coach and some of teammates feel the same way about him.

According to a report by NBC Sports' Pro Basketball Talk, Lakers player Nick Young shared his thoughts on the struggling Lin.

"I know it's his contract year, but he could've focused on passing a little bit more," Young said of Lin. "Especially when Kobe was out there, [Jeremy] needed to drop dimes."

Meanwhile, as far as his coach is concerned, the former Harvard standout was making things difficult for himself.

"Just play basketball," Lakers coach Byron Scott said. "If you have a shot, take it. If you have a drive, take it. If you don't, pass it. We make it harder than it should be. It's not that hard."

"It's been so up and down with the consistency," he added. "Every single night, you're getting something different."

In spite Lin losing his starting position before 2014 ended, the 26-year-old point guard is still averaging 10.2 points, 4.6 assists, and 2.4 boards per game.

While those are still respectable numbers, the fans are expecting more from the "Linsanity" star. When free agency period begins by the end of the season, Lin will have to find a team that will really use his skillset in its full potential – even if that means he'd be the best player on the team.
