Jessica Alba says a double corset was her big secret in how she managed to overcome the challenge of her post-baby weight following the birth of her two children.
The Hollywood actress has said that she opted for the more traditional route in tackling weight loss, and she testifies that it worked wonders for her.
Speaking to Net-a-Porter magazine, Alba has said, "I wore a double corset day and night for three months. It was sweaty, but worth it."
However, she admitted that it was probably one of the more "brutal" methods people can use to overcome their post-baby weight, and she described it as a "no pain, no gain" technique that probably was "not for everyone."
She is now looking to continue pushing forward with her acting career, and speaking to Glamour magazine she explained: "When you have kids, you kind of think, I don't need to work just to work. I want to sink my teeth into a character that makes it worth not being with my kids, or not being at the office."
She added, "Having kids, having strong relationships with my husband, my friends, that it is my priority… that's what really defines me, not a tabloid or a movie opening or a poster or an endorsement."
Already this October Alba will return for a sequel to hit film Sin City – Sin City: A Dame to Kill For. She will reprise her role as Nancy Callahan from the first movie.
Alba said about the sequel, "I just finished the best movie I've ever done. It was so opposite to what I do [at home]. My approach to acting now is so different – I'm fearless because I have nothing to lose."
She added, "Before [children] my identity was wrapped up in every decision – now, I don't care. It could be a pile of s*** and you could think it was the worst thing you ever saw, but I still had the best experience."
