Jessica and Ashlee Simpson Clashing Over Parents' Divorce Scandal?

Sisters Jessica and Ashlee Simpson are reportedly split over their parents' recent divorce scandal, with the country music singer siding with their mother Tina while single mother Ashlee is sticking by their father Joe.

In September, Tina, 52, filed divorce papers to end her 34-year marriage to Joe, 54, and cited a "conflict of personalities" as the reason for the split, according to TMZ.com. The filing was soon followed by reports of an affair on Joe's part, with various media outlets claiming that the former pastor engaged in a gay tryst during the course of the marriage although he has since denied the claim.

"Jessica and Ashlee are split over their parents' decision to divorce. Jessica is devastated that Tina has been dealt such a blow. She can't believe what Joe has done to her after all these years and has been offering her mom all the support she can," a source close to the Simpsons reportedly told RadarOnline.com.

"But Ashlee is pinning the blame on her mom for not giving Joe enough attention during their marriage. She believes Tina was absent too often and that caused Joe to look elsewhere," the source went on.

It was claimed that Joe, who also manages his daughters' careers, was accused of having an affair with 21-year-old male model Bryce Chandler Hill.

"Yes, I've read the story...it's simply NOT TRUE." Hill posted on social networking site Twitter on Oct.12.

Both Jessica, 31, and Ashlee, 28, are said to be stressed and struggling emotionally over the divorce drama. The once-close siblings are said to be in disagreement over who is at fault.

"Jessica and Ashlee can't agree on who's right or wrong, when in reality they just have to accept the situation and support both their parents during this difficult time," the source said.
