Jessica Simpson unveiled a star studded baby shower in Culver City, Calif on Sunday, just weeks before she is due to give birth to a baby girl.

The 31-year-old engaged singer appeared radiant and in good spirits as she mingled with close friends and family at the pink-and-yellow themed bash, according to US Magazine.

"[Jessica] seemed completely ecstatic! She received tons of gifts mostly wrapped in pink gift wrap and boxes. There were several books, stuffed toys and clothes among other items," a source told US.

"'It was a kid friendly shower with many of her friends bringing babies," the source added.

Simpson's guests included sister and singer, Ashlee Simpson, actresses Jessica Alba and Ellen Pompeo.

Former NFL star and Simpson's fiance, Eric Johnson, 32, was also in attendance reportedly arriving at the event prior to the 50 guests.

Just last week it was revealed that the expectant couple had selected what some critics believe is a unique name for their unborn baby, despite trying to keep it a secret.

"They tossed around a lot of names, including some wacky ones like Zinfandel, but couldn't agree on anything," a family friend told In Touch Magazine.

"They're going to call her Maxwell, Maxi for short. Maxwell is Eric's middle name, and also his beloved grandma's maiden name. Jessica wanted a name with meaning," the source added.

Simpson, who is said to be just three weeks away from her due date, has been spotted wearing an "M" necklace in recent weeks and although she refuses to explain what it symbolizes many fans have suspected that the "Fashion Star" mentor wears it in her baby's honor, according to In Touch.

Simpson and Johnson have said that they plan to get married after the birth of their baby girl and the baby will be the couple's first.
