As for Simpson's first post to the photo-centered social media site, the starlet shared a photo of her recent Redbook magazine cover, which featured her in a floral frock.

Then on Wednesday, Simpson posted a touching "family moment" photo with her newly engaged younger sister Ashlee.

The photo featured Jessica smiling between Ashlee and Evan Ross, Ashlee's fiancé. The pair just confirmed their engagement on Sunday.

"My baby and I are ENGAGED!!!! Hallelujah Hawaii," Ashlee posted to Twitter along with a photo of herself with Ross.

Alternately, Ashlee's older sister Jessica is also engaged. The star is set to marry Eris Johnson with whom she shares two children.

Just four years apart, the Simpson sisters are very close and even lead lives that could be considered similar to one another. Both Jessica and Ashlee have tried their hand at acting as well as music.

Moreover, the sisters are each once-divorced and on track to marry again.

While Jessica is mother to daughter Maxwell and a son Ace, Ashlee is also a mother. The 29-year-old shares a son, Bronx, with ex-husband Pete Wentz.

Meanwhile, Simpson's first Instagram posts did not end with just one "family moment." The shoe designer went on to share one more photo taken with her one-year-old daughter Maxwell.

"Love this lil lady more than anything," she wrote in the caption.

The photo featured Simpson planting a kiss on her adorable daughter's cheek. See the photo here.
