Jessica Simpson is reportedly scheduled to film her first post-baby TV interview with Katie Couric on the renowned journalist's debut talk show "Katie," it has been revealed.

Simpson, 31, reportedly gained approximately 70 pounds during her first pregnancy and the singer is rumored to be on a mission to lose the weight in five months as part of her Weight Watchers deal. She is expected to discuss the challenges that she has faced following reports that she is not coping well.
"[Jessica's] so emotional. She doesn't want to go to the gym. She doesn't want to leave her baby. Sometimes she just starts crying. It's hard for her," a friend allegedly told In Touch magazine before adding that Simpson is "stressed and overwhelmed" with her diet plan.
Couric will likely ask Simpson about her fiancé and child's father, Eric Johnson, and about how the singer is juggling motherhood and work.
Simpson gave birth to baby Maxwell Drew Johnson, weighing in at 9 lbs., 13 oz., on May – a full 10 days after her expected due date. She and Johnson, 31, have been in awe of their daughter ever since.
The episode will likely be a ratings winner for Couric. She has already teamed up with some of the most renowned names in television for "Katie" including director Joe Terry, who spent the last 14 years as director for "The Oprah Winfrey Show."
Couric, 55, reportedly signed a $40 million contract with ABC in 2011, part of which involved her hosting a daytime talk show for its Disney-ABC Domestic Television arm.
In an interview with ABC, Couric explained that she had a particular preference for her show's content to combine intellectual discussion while still being entertaining.
"Smart conversation, those are the two words that I would like to aspire to, and also fun conversation," Couric previously told ABC News.
Also joining Simpson for the first episode of "Katie" is singer Sheryl Crow. Among Couric's first week guests are Aimee Copeland, Amanda Knox's former boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito and Sharon and Lexie Love, the mother and sister of Yeardley Love.
