Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson's plans to conceal their baby's name until after her birth may have fallen through, with new reports suggesting that the baby's name has already been revealed.
"They tossed around a lot of names, including some wacky ones like Zinfandel, but couldn't agree on anything," a family friend told In Touch Magazine.
"They're going to call her Maxwell, Maxi for short. Maxwell is Eric's middle name, and also his beloved grandma's maiden name. Jessica wanted a name with meaning," the source added.
Simpson, who claims that she has just a few weeks before finally giving birth, has reportedly been spotted wearing an "M" necklace in her baby's honor, according to In Touch.
The 31-year-old recently spoke about her fears about having a baby girl and the "non-tradition" baby name that she and Johnson, her fiancée, chose for their daughter.
"I swear, I will croak if she asks me for a pair of Nikes instead of Christian Louboutins! Eric is so athletic. We're gonna have this ath-a-letic girl and I won't even be able to take her shopping," Simpson recently told the Elle magazine.
"When people hear [the name], they'll know ... why. [It's] nothing shocking and nothing you'll have to add to the dictionary," Simpson said about her baby's name.
Simpson's appearance has understandably changed since becoming pregnant, and for some the change has fueled speculation that she may be expecting twins though she recently shut down the rumors in a recent appearance on the "Jay Leno Show."
"We're waddling at this point," Simpson said after greeting Leno. Prior to that, she had confirmed, "No, it's not twins I know it looks like it!"
Despite being in the late stages of her pregnancy the "Fashion Star" mentor is still sporting stiletto heels, and admitted that it is a challenge.
"It's a tough thing here and I'm wearing six inch heels, it's a lot of weight to carry on six inches," Simpson said.
