Jessica Simpson appeared to be heavily pregnant during Monday night's taping of the "Jay Leno Show," and she revealed that despite her appearance she is not pregnant with twins.
"We're waddling at this point," Simpson said after greeting Leno. Before that, she confirmed, "No, it's not twins I know it looks like it!"
The 31-year-old, who arrived wearing high heels, denied that she is due at any moment as some media outlets have reported and spoke about wearing heels while pregnant.
"Not quite yet we have some time," Simpson said about her due date. "It's a tough thing here and I'm wearing six inch heels, it's a lot of weight to carry on six inches," the singer explained.
Simpson has received ongoing criticism about her decision to wear high heels while she is nine months pregnant, with some critics arguing that she is compromising her safety over her glamorous appearance.
"I'm probably going to deliver my baby in these [heels]," Simpson once joked while speaking to Us Weekly.
The "Fashion Star" judge is among a growing list of Hollywood moms, including singer Beyonce, who have been spotted wearing up to 9-inch heels while heavily pregnant, dividing fans.
Simpson, who is engaged to former NFL star Eric Johnson, also spoke to Leno about giving birth, saying that she was prepared to expect pain.
"Labor is really going to hurt- I have so much respect for my mom and all the women across the world," Simpson said.
Although the couple had initially planned to walk down the aisle in November 2011, the date was later postponed until after the baby's birth due to Simpson's pregnancy being unplanned.
"I want [Eric] to be my husband so bad. I do still want to wear the pretty gown so I have to wait," Simpson said.
The pair are expecting a baby girl, and are keeping her name private until after she is born.
"When people hear [the name], they'll know ... why. [It's] nothing shocking and nothing you'll have to add to the dictionary," Simpson recently told Elle Magazine.
