Tina Simpson reportedly wrote a suicide note after filing for divorce from her estranged husband Joe, a new report claims.
The 53-year-old grandmother allegedly said she wanted to shoot both herself and Joe, who is her husband of 35 years, after reportedly discovering explosive secrets about the former pastor.
A representative for the Simpsons has previously denied that Joe is homosexual, but a source maintains that Joe, 52, allegedly had an affair with a 21-year-old male model which Tina discovered before she wrote the disturbing note.
"Tina was so distraught when she found out about Joe's secret gay affair, she immediately wrote a suicide note," a source close to the Simpson family allegedly told RadarOnline.com.
"It was fairly detailed and she said she wanted to shoot herself for what Joe had done to their 35-year marriage. Worse still, Tina wanted to shoot Joe as well. She was just so angry with him," the source revealed.
Tina filed divorce papers in Texas during the month of September citing a "conflict of personalities" as the reason for the split. Various reports alleged that Joe had a gay affair with Bryce Chandler Hill, but both men have denied the claims.
"Instead of killing herself, Tina headed straight to a New York hotel to confront Joe about Bryce Chandler Hill," a source said about Tina's suicide note.
"Joe got busted after Tina found some modeling pictures of Bryce in her home," a separate source close to the Simpson family said. "They were taken in and around the house and she was suspicious because she didn't have a clue who the boy was."
Joe, who shares two children with Tina- Jessica and Ashlee- reportedly used the suicide note against his estranged wife in their divorce battle.
"When Joe returned to the Encino home in Los Angeles they shared, he found the note, made a copy and gave it to his divorce lawyer as a bargaining tool for the settlement," the source claims.
Tina, who is said to be intent on moving forward with her life, reportedly offered Joe half of the family fortune.
"An offer of a 50 percent split of everything under the Simpson name has been offered to Joe," a source revealed. "That includes the coveted Jessica Simpson Collection, which Joe desperately wanted because that's the real cash cow."
Hill took to social networking site Twitter in October and denied reports claiming he had a gay tryst with Joe.
"Yes, I've read the story...it's simply NOT TRUE." Hill tweeted on Oct.12.
