Credit :

In Sunday school, you learn early on that if you're stumped by a question, answering 'Jesus' is normally a good bet. So let's try this one:

Who is the most significant person in history according to Wikipedia?

Steven Skiena, a computer science professor at Stony Brook University, and Google engineer Charles B. Ward wondered that same thing, so they analyzed the Wiki pages of over 800,000 people to rank to their significance on the user-generated encyclopedia with over three million pages.

In their study, they examined the length of the figure's page, how many times it's been viewed, the number of edits from users and how many people link back to it. It only makes sense to let the Wikipedia page of the researcher's resultant book, "Who's Bigger? Where Historical Figures Really Rank," explain their reasong:

The concept is that these criteria measure the current fame of the subject. This is then manipulated by other algorithms to compensate for a skewing of data toward more recent subjects, arriving at true likely historical significance.

In their findings, Jesus Christ emerged as the most significant figure in history, followed by Napoleon Bonaparte, Muhammad, William Shakespeare and Abraham Lincoln. According to the Daily Mail, other Biblical figures in the top 100 include Paul the Apostle (#34), King David (#57) and St. Peter (#65).

I'll save you a Google search and link to Jesus' Wiki page to you can see its renowned significance for yourself. And be sure to SHARE this fascinating news.
