Jesus-Driven Teens to Spread Gospel with Hi-Tech Bibles

Teens heading off to summer mission trips across the globe this year will be equipped with Bibles more reflective of their digitally-savvy generation as they spread the Good News.

The donation of one hundred hand-held audio GoBibles is part of a new partnership between GoBible, LLC, a media consumer products company with a focus on religion, and Teen Mania Ministries, which sends out thousands of teens to spread the Gospel message.

The Bibles, together worth around $10,000, are being donated to the national youth organization to support teens through short-term mission endeavors.

"We applaud these valiant teenagers and want to support them in their work around the world," said Andrew Block, president of GoBible, LLC, in an announcement on Monday. "The GoBible is perfect for globetrotters because it's lightweight and packs easily, yet it contains the entire audio version of the Bible in a user-friendly format that simplifies the learning and sharing of the Scriptures."

GoBibles made their debut last September, offering patent-pending technology that allows users to search the Scriptures down to the verse level. It weighs as much as the AAA battery that powers it and features more than 70 hours of audio which were compressed onto a small chip. It is available in the New King James Version or the King James Version.

"We believe the original GoBible represents a major breakthrough in the space of religion and technology," Block said when the hand-held device debuted.

The groundbreaking device will equip Teen Mania's English-speaking Global Partners in countries such as Australia, New Zealand and Jamaica. Each summer, the Global Expeditions takes more than 3,000 teens and shares the Gospel in about 25 countries.

"Here at Teen Mania, our mission is to provoke a young generation to passionately pursue Jesus Christ and to take his life-giving message to the ends of the earth," said Kemtal Glasgow, Global Expedition's Director. "GoBible is helping make this a reality this summer as we celebrate our 20th year of taking the message of Christ around the world through these life changing adventures."
