Jihawg Ammo: Pork-Laced Bullets to Send Islamic Jihadists to Hell?
An ammunition manufacturer has created a pork-laced bullet to be used in self-defense against those participating in violent jihad.
South Fork Industries of Dalton Gardens, Idaho, uses pork-infused paint to cover the exterior of traditional bullets in order to make them "haraam" or unclean under Islamic Law.
The company's website calls the new bullets "Jihawg Ammo" and claims the ammo is for supporting "Peace Through Pork" as well as offering a "peaceful and natural deterrent to radical Islam."

"With Jihawg Ammo, you don't just kill an Islamist terrorist, you also send him to hell. That should give would-be martyrs something to think about before they launch an attack. If it ever becomes necessary to defend yourself and those around you our ammo works on two levels," the company said in a press release.
The new product comes in a pink and black box with the slogan "Freedom's first choice in defensive ammunition," printed on the side.
There are also various products that can be purchased such as shirts and other firearm gear with several slogans including "Put Some Ham in MoHAMed" and a target poster that says "Give Em a Spankin with some Bacon."
Some religious experts, however, are not entirely convinced that a pork-laced bullet would prevent a Muslim from entering heaven.
Shannon Dunn, assistant professor of religious studies at Gonzaga University, said South Fork's concept is based on an inaccurate understanding of the Quran.
"There is no penalty for coming into contact with pork given by the Quran," she said, referencing verses in the Torah that are reminiscent of Jewish dietary laws in Leviticus. "To my knowledge, Muslims, especially unknowingly, would not be banned from heaven for eating or getting hit by pork."
The "Jihawg Ammo" Facebook page has garnered more than 6,000 likes as well as hundreds of comments regarding the nature of the ammunition.
