Jillian Michaels Leaving 'The Biggest Loser'? New Report Claims She's Unhappy With Show

Does Jillian Michaels want to leave NBC's "The Biggest Loser" after a tumultuous season that saw the astonishing weight loss of Rachel Frederickson? New reports have surfaced stating that the trainer wants to spend more time with her family and is tired of being presented as the mean and evil trainer on the series.

"She is deeply concerned about the direction the show has been taking," a friend told People magazine of Michaels. "She is turned off by the mean-spirited storylines and poor care of the contestants. Michaels wants to distance herself from the 'Biggest Loser' brand. Especially considering what happened with Rachel, her feeling is that there isn't proper attention paid to the contestants' health or wellness."

Frederickson created headlines when she appeared at the season finale having lost 60 percent of her bodyweight. Michaels had a very visible reaction and was shocked by Frederickson's figure; she mouthed the words "Oh my!" as Frederickson emerged. She later issued a statement saying that she would not comment about Frederickson's weight loss in the immediate aftermath of the show but later said that she thought Frederickson had lost too much weight.

Michaels has long been known for her tough-as-nails attitude and for getting in the contestants' faces on the series. However, that is not all Michaels wants to be known for. She and partner Heidi have two young children together and Michaels is currently on tour for her "Maximize Your Life" program, in which she speaks directly to the crowd and shares an inspirational message.

"The show uses her as the bad guy and anyone who knows Jillian knows she's not the bad guy at all," the source said. "She's a loving mother of two kids. She's not the negative person they portray her as. She wants to be in a place where she has more respect."

Michaels and NBC have not commented about the report, but Michaels has left the show once before to focus on family and do her own thing.
