Joe Biden: VP of Shilling

In an address to the Democratic National Committee's Women's Leadership Forum on Friday, Vice President Joe Biden called out the Tea Party as an impediment to the administration's progress. Biden spoke to the women's group and urged them not to let the mean old Tea Party wreck their "collective agenda." I am still wondering if he meant "collective" or "collectivist." Biden warned the group of Democratic women and attendees, "Everything you worked for and the progress we have made is literally in jeopardy."

The progress Biden lauds for women is certainly not a sound economy and affordable health care. In fact, under his administration, women are seeing their family's health care premium's rise on average by $3,000, despite promises of a $2,500 decrease. No, the progress he touts is the enormous waste of tax dollars being thrown at the bottomless pit of our nation's largest abortion provider, Planned Parenthood - an organization with racist roots and a goal of ridding the world of poor children, not by ending poverty but by ending the lives of unborn children. Their eugenicist founder, Margaret Sanger, bluntly suggested discouraging, "the defective and diseased elements of humanity from their reckless and irresponsible swarming and spawning." What a gal.

Planned Parenthood is much more nuanced in their rhetoric these days, but the goal is still insidious. Biden truly believes the only pro-woman stance is a pro-abortion, pro-Planned Parenthood agenda. Both Biden and Obama voted against a bill making it illegal to take a pregnant minor to another state to get an abortion in order to circumvent parental consent laws.

In an effort to appeal to Democrat liberal women, this administration has continually encouraged the viewpoints of one faction of women while assaulting another - women of faith. Concerned Women for America has joined with an alliance of groups to defend the religious liberty rights of women, like those of the Little Sisters of the Poor, who are being forced to pay for contraception and abortion-inducing drugs under Obama's health care plans. The "war on women" they are so fond of is truly a war of aggression against women who find abortion immoral and push back on the blind allegiance and tax dollars given to big abortion. Biden's on the wrong side of what is actually a civil war.

Penny Young Nance is the president of Concerned Women for America (CWA) and CWALAC. Nance most recently served as President of Nance and Associates and as Special Advisor for the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), where she advised the Chairman and the Commissioners on media and social issues. Before joining the FCC, Nance was founder and President of the Kids First Coalition, a non-profit organization focused on educating Capitol Hill, the media, and the public on a variety of issues related to children.
