Johnny Manziel News: Quarterback indicted by grand jury

Manziel continues to face issues.

It has been an extremely rough time for professional football free agent Johnny Manziel – and it seems that the end is still far from his sights.

The former Cleveland Browns quarterback was a rookie back in 2014 and is now without a team – and there seems to be little or no interest in any franchise to sign the 23 year old.

Picked 22nd in the first round of 2014, many dubbed Manziel for superstardom as he was a recipient of the Heisman Trophy back in 2012 and his status off the field has also made him an overnight superstar.

However, he has had issues on and off the pitch which brings him to his predicament at the moment.

And in the most recent reports, it seems that Manziel is being indicted by a grand jury connecting him with an incident between him and his former girlfriend.

The issue was referring to the January 2016 incident where Manziel and Colleen Crowley reportedly had an argument in Dallas where Crowley claimed that Manziel forced her into a vehicle where he physically attacked her while threatening to kill her and himself.

This is just the latest on Manziel's long list of troubles put to light by the media. Some of his past issues connected him back to the Browns where he was repeatedly penalized for breaking codes and ethics in the team.

He has also had some run ins with alcohol as shown by his decision to enter a rehabilitation center back in February 2015.

As such a young professional with seemingly a lot going for him at an early stage, it is increasingly difficult to see Manziel picked up by other teams as he may be a bigger liability than asset.
