Josh Duggar May Be Released from Rehab, But He is Still Not Allowed to Use a Smartphone

Anna Duggar is worried about the temptations Josh will have now that he's back from rehab.

After the scandals surrounding the television personality Josh Duggar, his wife Anna Duggar is worried about what will happen to their marriage now that he has been released from rehab.

In Touch Weekly reports that Anna is scared to see her husband revert back to his infidelity. During his stay at the treatment facility, Josh was not exposed to the Internet as well as other temptations. Now that he is back, Anna is anticipating the worst, which led to her decision to ban his use of a smartphone.

According to the magazine, a source said, "He isn't allowed to have one of those. He has a little phone with a tiny screen and he can't send or receive picture messages on it." The Duggar family is said to be against the use of smartphones as it can bring bad influences to their children. Josh's father, Jim Bob, previously explained that they only use basic phones that only have call and text functions.

He said that this rule applies especially to young men due to the explicit images available on the Internet.

"For most of the boys, we have actually gone back to the basic, cheap phone -- the 1995 phone. All it has is phone calls and you can text on it," Jim Bob said as per Inquistr. "Young men would have more of a struggle seeing bad stuff, so what we've done with the smartphones that we've had, we've actually locked out Safari and any Internet search at all, and then we've just had basic apps."

To filter the content available for their children, he explained that he took extra measure to make sure that they do noy have access to any negative images. He said that they even blocked the use of Google Street View to prevent his sons from seeing any photos of naked ladies.

He explained further, "We have emails and just the basic things on the phones for the guys. But…even on the maps and things there are some ways to see some bad things, and that's a struggle. They can go off by themselves and take it out in a hurry. It has the potential to steal somebody's soul."

With that, Josh's release from rehab is expected to bring some challenges to his marriage with Anna as he gets accustomed to the temptations around him.
