Josh Duggar scandal: Anna Duggar's upbringing and refusal to leave Josh despite knowing about his molestation history

While Anna Duggar gets through a difficult week after husband Josh Duggar admitted to cheating on her, as well as having an addiction to pornography, then finally entered long-term rehabilitation, a source has shared details as to why Anna still sticks with her husband of 7 years.

The source close to Anna told People that while the Duggars are already seen by the world as straitlaced and strict with their lifestyle and beliefs, Anna's family are "more extreme."

Anna is one of eight children to Mike and Suzette Keller, and she and her siblings have been raised with almost the same strict and religious lifestyle as that of the Duggars, but "Her parents are even a little more extreme," the source says.

The now 27-year-old met Josh at a Christian homeschooling convention in 2006, and when it came to sharing her thoughts about him or any guy, Anna was only allowed to share her feelings to her mother in 15-minute one-on-one sessions per week.

Another source also said that Anna was already aware of Josh's molestation of five underage girls, including his two sisters Jill and Jessa, long before the now infamous Duggar admitted to the sin publicly, but she still chose to marry him. "Her whole family knew something had happened," the source added.

Anna's parents, upon finding out about the incident, still allowed her to marry Josh, which, the source says, is because her upbringing taught that "if your parents gave their blessing then you pretty much marry the guy and that's what God's will is for you and what's best for our life."

Meanwhile, two of Anna's siblings have reportedly tried to "rescue" her from Josh, following the most recent heartbreaking scandal of Josh being connected to an email in the wake of the Ashley Madison leak.

Anna's younger sister and one of her brothers reportedly tried to get her away from, him but she said she "wasn't interested in leaving Josh."
