Josh Gordon Tattoos Own Name, Jersey Number on Back: 'It's a Lifestyle,' Says NFL Player (PHOTO)

Josh Gordon tattooed his own name and jersey number on his back in a huge display. The Cleveland Browns wide receiver posted the picture to Instagram Monday, and although he already has many tattoos, his followers were surprised at the expansive piece.

Josh Gordon's tattoo features his name in large, block letters across the top part of his back and shoulders. Underneath that is his jersey number, 12, with the background having a spiraling cyclone of tidal water. Next to the jersey number is a koi fish posing angrily.

The Browns receiver's tattoo was so huge that when he posted a picture of it, the artistic piece was only half colored in, with a caption reading "A representation of yourself.. it's a lifestyle." Despite it's incompletion, fans liked the ink.

"That's freakin sick!" militiaculby65 wrote. "You need to post when its finished."

"Just know u da fastest wit the best hands in the league @flashgordonxii," another wrote.

"It's hard not to argue it's pretty sweet," Bleacher Report said.

It's unknown why Gordon decided to get the enormous tattoo, but it certainly isn't his first— he's practically covered with them.

Some pointed out that the ink could be limiting in the future for the 22-year-old NFL player. Three teams in the AFC East— the Buffalo Bills, Miami Dolphins and New York Jets— have already retired the number 12 for good, according to Waiting for Next Year. Another team, the New England Patriots, could retire Tom Brady's no. 12 jersey as well after he retires.
