Josh Lucas Secretly Married, Expecting First Child

Actor Josh Lucas has quietly married girlfriend Jessica Ciencin Henriquez, surprising nearly all who know him. The couple announced that they are expecting their first child, adding another layer of surprise to the revelation.

Henriquez took to Tumblr to express her feelings and thoughts about the new relationship with Lucas. "In a dog park in New York, on a day like the thousands before it, I decided to take a chance. Maybe it was the blue eyes staring back at me, perhaps it was the loud and comfortable laugh that met each story I told that afternoon, but whatever the reason, I let myself fall-it was terrifying, beautiful and brilliant."

Fans knew that the couple was engaged after Lucas spilled the beans on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. He told the audience that a life-changing moment had led to one of clarity.

While filming for a movie, Lucas encountered a mountain lion, and after scaring it away, he said, "I worked my way into the trailer. After I got in I decided at that moment that this woman was the woman for me."

Henriquez wrote that the relationship was not "forced or fake, and even if neither of us understood what was happening between us, we were confident in its uniqueness and absolutely taken aback by how easily we could love."

"One mere flip of a calendar page later, and he bent his knee in Grace Cathedral, not promising the world but instead offering honesty, love and acceptance," she noted.

The couple has not yet revealed any details of the ceremony, but Lucas' representative confirmed to People magazine that they are, in fact, expecting their first child. He is currently at work on hit TV series "The Firm," and Henriquez is a freelance writer.
