Joy-Anna Duggar-Austin Forsyth Updates: Is It Love At First Sight For The Couple?

Joy-Anna Duggar recalled her first impression upon meeting her now-husband Austin Forsyth in a recent episode of "Counting On" on TLC.

The 19-year-old revealed that she met Forsyth when she was just five years old, but he only started hanging out with her brothers in their Arkansas family home around five years ago.

According to Joy, she was not attracted to him during that time. "He was young and immature, and I was young and immature... Yeah, I didn't think much about him," the ninth child of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar said in Monday night's episode as reported by HollywoodLife.

But the feelings reportedly changed eventually, and Joy is now referring to her husband as her best friend. She also mentioned that she started having feelings for him after he gave a moving testimony at the Duggars' family home. "Just to see his heart, really, was the first thing that attracted me to him," she also said.

Joy also mentioned that she was very surprised when Forsyth asked to court her back in November since she was already interested in him for a long time.

Forsyth, on the other hand, revealed that he already knew that he wants to spend the rest of his life with Joy while he was away at a flight school in Mississippi.

The couple first announced their courtship in the same month through the special wedding episode of her sister Jinger Duggar to Jeremy Vuolo on "Counting On." They revealed that they were already engaged in March, then decided to tie the knot in front of their family and friends in May this year. In August, the newlyweds announced that they are expecting their first child together in the new year.

The Duggar-Forsyth wedding will be featured in an upcoming special episode of "Counting On" on TLC that airs every Monday, 9 p.m. EDT.
