Joy Williams nominated "Female Vocalist of the Year"

Will the second time be the charm for Reunion Records artist Joy Williams, who was nominated for the second year in a row for Dove Awards’ “Female Artist of the Year”? Williams won’t find out until April 28, the night of the 35th Annual Dove Awards in Nashville,TN. Regardless of this being her second nomination in the same category, Williams is still surprised.

"I'm completely humbled and surprised every time I'm nominated for any type of award," comments Williams. "It's encouraging to receive this type of honor from your friends and the Christian music community."

Also nominated in the “Female Vocalist of the Year” category are artists CeCe Winans, Rebecca St. James, and Stacie Orrico. Nicole Nordeman, who won last year’s Dove Award for “Female Vocalist of the Year”, was also nominated in the same category this year. Nordeman also won “Songwriter of the Year” for the 34th Annual Dove Awards.

In addition, Williams is planning her June 2004 wedding while also in the studio working on her summer album release. Williams went on the spring FREE Experience Tour on Sat., Feb. 7, with ZoeGirl and Superchic[k]. The tour will hit over 40 markets.
