The "Footloose" actress was seen at about 4 a.m. "holding hands with a hunky Australian mystery man named Tommy," a spy has reported, according to the New York Post.

Hough was also showing off her new short hair style at Coachella, just weeks after splitting with long-term boyfriend Ryan Seacrest.

Seacrest and Hough reportedly split last month after two years together. According to People magazine, the former Dancing with the Stars professional dancer and the American Idol host parted ways after their relationship became strained.

It was reported at the time that the 24 year old dancer turned actress, and the 38 year old TV host would now no longer co-habit and "take a break" from their relationship, according to reports.

The pair blamed their intense work schedules for the split, saying that they have both been so busy that it has been difficult to spend the necessary time together to make things work.

However, an insider source told People that their split has been amicable and that they will remain in touch and on good terms.

Recently Hough was also in the news when her car was broken into, with the thieves getting away with a reported $100,000 worth of jewelry.

According to celebrity news website TMZ, the two time Dancing With the Stars professional champion had left her Mercedes parked outside an apartment complex in Los Angeles as she visited a friend nearby.

However, unwisely she left three extremely expensive pieces of valuable jewelry in the vehicle. When she later returned to her car a few hours later she found the car door wide open and her jewelry gone.

Hough was signed to Mercury Nashville Records in December 2007, releasing a self-titled debut album on May 20, 2008, debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard Country Album chart and No. 3 on the Billboard 200. It sold 67,000 copies its first week, and has sold over 320,000 total copies.

On October 12, 2008, she released a holiday album, Sounds of the Season: The Julianne Hough Holiday Collection, which as of January 5, 2009, had sold 157,000 copies.

Her first leading role was in the 2011 film remake of Footloose. She also starred in the 2013 drama film, Safe Haven.
