Julie Bowen has previously admitted envy of her "Modern Family" co-star Sofia Vergara, but took time to explain her feelings this week.

The 43-year-old actress was quoted complimenting Vergara's natural grace and femininity earlier this month, joking that her admiration for the actress was much like obsession.

"I sort of worship Sofia," Bowen said at the time, according to E! News.

The actress noted Vergara's confidence and gushed over her Colombian co-star's attitude.

"Sofia is just so comfortable with herself," said Bowen. "She knows who she is and she has accepted it in full. I've always felt like I've straddled this line between being a tomboy and I guess if you dress me up just right and put on the right bra I can sort of look girly, but I always feel like I'm playing dress up."

Attending a Mommy & Me Soiree for Baby Buggy in Los Angeles this week, Bowen continued to clarify her sentiments for Vergara.

"Who doesn't [admire Vergara,] the actress asked," according to E!

Vergara, 40, is well-known for her role on "Modern Family."

Alternately, in the past, Vergara has admitted her admiration of Gisele Bundchen.

While Vergara is featured in ads for several brands such as CoverGirl, K-Mart, and Diet Pepsi, the actress confessed that there are drawbacks to having a fuller figure, and compared herself to runway model Bundchen.

The interview was not the first time Vergara had addressed her figure. While speaking to Shape magazine earlier this year, the actress revealed secrets about her diet.

"If I could, I would have foie gras and eclairs for breakfast, lunch, and dinner," said the "Modern Family" star, who added that she eats cake almost every day.

"I love it," she continued. "Vanilla cake, angel food cake, chocolate cake. For me and my son, buying cake at the grocery store is like buying milk. We always have it in the house."
