Justice Sunday II, which aired nationally on Sunday night from Nashville, Tenn., featured evangelical speakers decrying the current state of the Supreme Court, calling on conservative minded Christians to take action against "activist Judges" by making their opinions known to their Senators.
The broadcast, which organizers say reached a potential audience of 79 million viewers across various local television and Satellite networks. It was the second such event in recent months. The telecast primarily focused on what the speakers viewed "activist" Supreme Court judicial decisions such as abortion, rather than the High Court nominee John Roberts.
Striking a conciliatory tone, Tony Perkins, president of the Family Research Council said that the views aired on the program did not represent all Americans but added that the speakers had a right to be heard.
