Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez: Bieber's New Single 'What Do You Mean' Could Be About Ex-Girlfriend

It's no fresh news that Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez have a lukewarm relationship these days. Sometimes it's hot and other times it's just plain cold. This time around may be the chilliest as Justin Bieber announced that he is finally releasing a new single titled "What Do You Mean" which some have interpreted as a diss song about Selena.

Last week Justin took to radio show "On Air With Ryan Seacrest" to talk about his new single. When asked about what inspired him to write this song, the pop sensation didn't hold back.

"Girls are often flip-floppy. They say something and they mean something else. So … what do you mean? I don't really know, that's why I'm asking," he explained.

It wasn't long before others began speculating that the Canadian singer was talking about on-again, off-again girlfriend Selena Gomez. The singers have been in a rocky relationship for three years, and often Bieber was seen hanging out with models, flirting, and taking them on dates. Even though he seemed to always hold a candle for Gomez, it seemed like she decided she didn't want Bieber as a boyfriend anymore and some media outlets like Celebrity Dirty Laundry even suspected she was also dating two guys simultaneously.

Gomez has addressed the news about Bieber's single "What Do You Mean" and the rumors surrounding it.

"Even though people try to pit the exes against one another, they will always have love for each other," she said in an interview with German magazine TV Movie.
