Justin Bieber Changes the Life of 'Mistletoe' Co-Star

Justin Bieber's music video for his first single from Under the Mistletoe, "Mistletoe," premiered Oct. 18 and has changed the life of co-star and on screen kiss, Ali Williams.

"My friends were freaking out a little more than I was," Williams shared with MTV. "I wasn't really prepared for all the stuff that was happening. I think that pretty much everyone has been pretty supportive. There's some things out there that are untrue, just as far as my age and stuff, but everyone has been really nice and supportive about that."

The 18-year-old won the role of Bieber's love interest in the video after receiving an email from her agent for the audition.

Although she confesses she wasn't really familiar with his music, Williams definitely has a lot of respect for the singer, and enjoyed her experience.

"He was really nice. He was a good person. I heard that he was a nice guy, just from what you read in magazines and stuff, so I wasn't really worried about meeting him. He was ... really easy to get along with, really polite. As far as the kissing, it was very professional. It's just a job," she said to MTV.

Currently a college freshman, Williams hopes this gig leads to bigger things in the future as she pursues acting while studying journalism at Belmont University in Nashville.

"I would definitely say this is one of my favorite jobs I've done so far. Overall, I just thought the whole set was a lot of fun 'cause they made it look exactly like Christmas, and they have fake snow and everything," she told MTV.

Bieber made headlines recently when he announced a percentage of the proceeds from his Christmas album Under the Mistletoe, due out Nov. 1 will go to various charities, including "Make-A-Wish Foundation" and "Pencils of Promise."

Bieber announced that he is the first on the Universal Music’s roster to have part of his sales go to charity.

"Universal never actually allowed money from the album to go to charity, so it's kind of a unique thing and I'm very happy and proud of what we've done," said Bieber in an interview earlier this month.

Bieber is uncertain how the sales will be divided among the charities, but he is working to achieve his goal with a team. "I tell them basically what I want and they kind of go and help me get it done," Bieber said.

Bieber's new Christmas album will feature special collaborations with Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men, and many others.

"They were all great people and fun to be around," Bieber said, referencing his collaborations. “They've been really successful and great in the country world, so I wanted to get them on my Christmas album and cross some barriers and try to get some different audience members to listen to my music.”
