Justin Bieber Collaborates with Kanye West, Drake on New Album

Following his new Christmas album, Justin Bieber has been working on Believe which includes collaborations with Kanye West and Drake.

Bieber told Capital FM that he is working with “a lot of cool people” on the new album. It is said to be available in stores next summer. The high-profile hip-hop stars will also be part of a “new and fun” sound that Bieber seeks.

“I just learned about picking the right songs and making sure that I create a sound that people aren’t really used to hearing so that it’s new and fun and people enjoy it,” said Bieber while talking with Capital’s host Rich Clarke.

Bieber has previously joined forces with artists such as Ludacris, Sean Kingston, Miley Cyrus, Jaden Smith, Rascal Flatts, and Chris Brown.

Bieber’s Christmas album, Under the Mistletoe, will hit stores Oct. 31. It features collaborations with Mariah Carey and Usher.

While recording the album earlier this year, the singer used Christmas cookies in the studio as a source of inspiration.

“It’s different, because you’ve gotta think Christmastime. You’ve gotta think, ‘What’s at Christmas? Mistletoe, reindeer, Santa, all these things,” said Bieber.

“Especially when it’s not Christmastime, it’s hard to really get your mind around it, but once you get into it, like, I was really thinking it was Christmastime when I was writing this album… We had Christmas cookies [in the studio],” the 17-year-old singer added.

“I was going to put out my new album soon anyways, and I was thinking, ‘It’s near Christmastime. If I’m going to release an album near Christmas, I figure maybe I’d just do a Christmas album.”

The video for “Mistletoe” premiered earlier this month.

“People get confused,” Bieber said. “My song is ‘Mistletoe,’ and my album is Under the Mistletoe so don’t get it confused, don’t get it twisted.”

The album will also include several Christmas classics and a duet of “All I Want for Christmas” with Mariah Carey.
