Justin Bieber Confirmed for 'X-Factor'; Will Appear As Guest Mentor

Justin Bieber will appear on the upcoming season of reality singing competition show "X-Factor" as a guest mentor, it has been revealed.

The 18-year-old "Boyfriend" singer will appear on the hit show during the judges' house round, where Britney Spears, Demi Lovato, Simon Cowell and LA Reid will each select four contestants to compete in the final 16, according to reports.

"Long day but great day. @LA_Reid @ScooterBraun just like old times! Thanks," Bieber recently tweeted presumably after the deal was finalized.

Reid, who is one of Bieber's long time mentors, will team up with the singer as the pair work closely with the producer's band of contestants to improve their odds at wining the competition, according to the New York Daily News.

This is not the first time that the Pop star has appeared on "X-Factor." He performed during series 7, Week 8 followed by series 8, Week 9.

Last season singer Rihanna, Julio Iglesias, Pharrell Williams and Mariah Carey all made appearances as guest mentors and Bieber is expected to draw in a larger audience in the upcoming season.

Bieber, who is arguably one of the most popular stars in pop music today, is currently preparing for his upcoming headlining tour of North America "Believe" and ticket sales for the event recently broke records.

"What!?! Just found out @justinbieber sold out the entire #BelieveTour North America in 1 Hour and both MSG shows clean in 30 seconds!!!!" Bieber's manager, Scooter Braun, tweeted on June 2. "Blown away. Now we are gonna make sure the #BelieveTour is as epic as possible. Thank u for supporting the kid. Amazing."

Bieber's "Believe" tour kicks off in Arizona on September 29, and will move across North America, with scheduled stops in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, New York, and New Orleans among other cities. The tour eventually wraps up in Miami on Jan. 26, 2013.
