Justin Bieber Fans Celebrate 'MSG Anniversary'

Justin Bieber fans Wednesday are celebrating the one year anniversary of the 17-year-old’s first performance at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

The concert sold out in 22 minutes last year, and featured performances by Miley Cyrus and Usher.

A constant trending topic on Twitter, Justin Bieber fans have flooded the social media site in tribute of the young singer, congratulating him on how far he has come since August 31, 2010 and for selling an entire show within a matter of minutes.

Todd wrote on Twitter Wednesday, “Retweet if you are proud of what Justin did last year… He sold out Madison Square Garden in 22 minutes! MSG ANNIVERSARY!”

“I am proud of how far @justinbieber has reached. I hope he’d stay as down to earth as he was. MSG ANNIVERSARY,” wrote Twitter user Daphne.

“How many 16 year olds do you know who can sell out Madison Square Garden… in 22 MINUTES?! MSG ANNIVERSARY,” said Emily.

In response to his fan’s praises, Bieber wrote on his Twitter account Wednesday, “WHAT!?! It’s been a year since we played Madison Square Garden and made #NEVERSAYNEVER!??! CRAZY!! THANKFUL. NEVER SAY NEVER.”

Bieber not only thanks God for his success, but also regularly thanks his fans in his award acceptance speeches, including the VMAs last week.

On Twitter, Bieber fans often defend their idol from those who do not respect his music. One user wrote: “Roses are red, violets are blue. Beliebers rule the world, and there is nothing you can do. MSG ANNIVERSARY.”

“Haters, once you sell out Madison Square Garden in 22 minutes then you can start talking, but for now go sit down somewhere,” said YMCMB on Twitter Wednesday.

On Twitter, Karin posted a hypothetical scenario involving Bieber’s mother, Pattie, to accentuate her pride in the accomplished singer. Karin wrote, “#imagine: Friend: ‘My son graduated from Harvard.’ Pattie: ‘My son sold out Madison Square Garden in 22 minutes.’ OWNED!”

Justin Bieber will appear in concert in Mexico City October 1 and will be performing at four different venues in South America during the week.
